Upstate New York in a Day

We live in New York City.
We are nature-deprived.
We go for a drive.
We visit a barn.
Stone Barns Center

We see sheep and sheep dog.
They "baaa" and roam.
We watch and point.
They stare and smile.

We see chicken in the shade.
Who do not leave the shade.
We call them out and wave.
They do not even move.

We walk on chamomile.
We smell the chamomile.
We look down at the chamomile.
We pick the chamomile.

We see large fields of green.
We sit in large fields of green.
We lay in large fields of green.
We obtain our dose of green.

We take a break.
We have coffee at the cafe.
We have it with fresh milk.
That they made that very day.
Blue Hill Cafe & Grain Bar

We walk through lots of crop.
To get back to home base.
Tomatoes, beets, and cabbage,
And many others in the same space.

We continue on our way.

We stop at Phoenicia.
We have breakfast for lunch.
Duck and grits skillet, smoked salmon on toast.
Can I have some more?
Phoenicia Diner

We drive some more.
We find a nice stream.
We stop the car.
We take a quick dip.
The Big Deep, Woodstock

We get back on the road.
We head back down south.
We take a walk in Kingston.
Until we drive back home.
Stockade District, Kingston

The End.
