Mexico city in two days. Here are the highlights:

Pyramid of the Sun, Teotihuacan


Pujol's Mole madre, mole nuevo 1029 days

To eat:  Pujol, by Enrique Olvera. Ranked one of the 50 best restaurants in the world, Pujol's evolving six course menu is quite the dining experience.

I. Street Snacks: Bocol Huasteco, asparagus chileatole, mulato chile chicharrón, chía tostada

IV. Catch of the day, beurre noisette, potato, lemon mayonnaise, celery

III. Suckling lamb taco, avocado leaf adobo, avocado puree

To see:  Museo Soumaya. Founded by Carlos Slim, Soumaya is the most visited art museum in Mexico comprising one of the biggest Rodin collections to date.


To eat:  El Palacio de Hierro. Eat your way through the food hall of this mall and you won't regret it. Pay special attention to the tacos (el califa), the juices (ojo de agua), and the churros (el moro). Then grab some ice cream (neveria roxy) and cookies at the bakery for the road.

To explore:  San Ángel. Go for the art galleries, artisan markets, and picturesque colonial feels for a nice Saturday afternoon before the September rain.
