Less is More

I partnered up with a good friend of mine some weeks ago to contribute to a beautiful portrait series he had been working on (which you should check out here). For this shoot, I picked out three really simple looks to show you how a lot of times, less really is more.

Sometimes, a good combination of color says it all. Fall is my favorite season because I have this undeniable inclination towards those deep berries and rich jewel tones that the season tends to bring. I specifically love a good mustard. This outfit is made up of a simple round neck t-shirt, tapered trousers, a single breasted blazer, and flat oxfords that work together in colorful harmony.

This next one is a lot simpler than it looks. It challenges proportion with the longer length shirt and four inch pumps. Layer it with a shorter top and some tapered trousers. Hats also add another dimension.

Then of course there's the all black leather on leather look which I always love. What’s great about leather is that the more you wear it, the more it conforms to your body making it that much more personal. Leather jackets are pieces you want to invest in. You will wear it forever but even if you don't, it’s money in your closet.
