Accessorize in Color

I've been doing some serious coat hunting these past few weeks to prep for the winter and haven't found any luck. Then I pulled this enormous mens coat out from the back of my closet that was a part of my Inversed Void collection years ago. I decided to take it for a spin. Today's outfit features a lot of wool and many of my favorite things including the wool trouser, the skinny wrap around belt, and good old Walter Van Beirendonck.

I've been a fan of this guy for some time now. You look at his work and you immediately think he's either psycho or genius (probably both). I love his explicit beauty wool scarf because it adds some really nice saturated colors to my normal cold weather grey tones, as does this wonderful bright blue wool hat by Han Kjøbenhavn. I found this skinny wrap around belt in the most wonderful camel color at A Detacher as a hook up to an oversized coat. I told them I would just take the belt. They consented. So I wrapped myself in the scarf and used the belt to cinch the waist. Underneath these layers live some brilliant wool trousers by Steven Alan that are slightly high waisted up top and tapered at bottom to better define the proportion with a long sleeve wool top tucked into it. I finished the look off with some clean leather boots and a mens portfolio case.

Layer on your blacks and greys and accessorize in color this season.
