As much as I love living in this wonderful city we call New York, I've noticed this urgency I've developed to leave it as soon as an opportunity presents itself. New York city is a lot and I firmly believe every new yorker needs to take a break and go away somewhere once in a while. It's really quite refreshing.
I just got back from Paris this past weekend. It was a short trip but worthwhile as I got to hang out with my younger brother, do some shopping with my mom, and soak in the parisian sun. It was warmer than New York, which gave me another excuse to wear some light whites and expose my sun deprived legs to some vitamin D.
The dress and jacket are both from PinkyOtto, a small boutique I spotted while wandering in the flatiron district earlier this month. The length of the dress hits perfectly above the knee as does the jacket, right about hip bone, so I know I will probably be making visits to this store again given their hem lengths are currently in our favor. And because hats will always add a little fun, (and height), I topped it off with my black wide brimmed sun hat for a little extra drama.
As jet lagged as we were, we took the whole afternoon to walk through the Marais, snack on yummy french pastries, people watch at the Place des Vosges, all the while consuming the beauty of all the surrounding spring greens.
