I knew of a Kangol hat back in the day. Growing up, I remember it was always laying around the house somewhere. As a kid, my knowledge of the brand was that it had something to do with the military and that it was English by the look of its flag logo at the time. Then when I rediscovered the brand as a teenager years later, Kangol's new Kangaroo logo read 90's hip hop when guys like LL Cool J and Run-D.M.C. kind of made it their signature. And today? Well, let's just say Kangol is back and its looking real fresh. I recently got this black bermuda casual Kangol which is a staple and in this case, worked nicely with a casual black and white with navy outfit combination for a nice breezy day in spring.
I've also gone out of my comfort zone a bit with the wide-leg trousers. Generally this silhouette is a bit dangerous for a girl my height but it worked out after cutting a few inches off the hem to fall above the ankle. It's also high-waisted so I mean, obviously that helped. Not to mention, this thing is breezy as hell and it won't be the worst idea to invest in a few for the upcoming heat of summer. The heat of summer that I've been waiting for all winter...and spring...'til now.
