A day in December. A rainy day in December that is.
And with the family in town for the holidays this year, we figured we'd make the best of it despite the poor weather.
We started off at the 10am service at Hillsong NYC and got a good fix of what love looks like once again. It's really the perfect church for visitors. Then we headed over to Chelsea Market to satisfy our food cravings since we Hans love to eat. We began at Takumi for some Japanese inspired tacos. Their curry beef taco is a must.
We found ourselves in line at Los Tacos No. 1 next and devoured some authentic west coast inspired carne asada and adobada tacos. Across from Los Tacos No. 1 is Mokbar, a korean ramen bar that we simply couldn't resist. We settled for the kimchee ramen and the bulgogi ramen, which both complimented each other very nicely, one being spicy, the other more sweet.
And since that wasn't enough, we succumbed to a sudden urge for ice cream. We made it over to Nolita for the ice cream destination: A.B. Biagi, only to find it closed. We walked away disappointed but do make sure to get a taste or two of the Brazilian inspired Italian gelato specialty. It is not to be missed.
And that was a rainy day in December...full of food.
