It's December and it's New York City. So yes, by now, the weather implies we should all be living in our everyday winter down jackets or our go-to wool coats both probably in black if not grey.
But what if I don't want to...?
This time of year, I find myself trying to extend that fall to winter transition period as long as I possibly can with the solution of layers. After all, the weather here has been so fickle, might as well be prepared and dress for all the seasons--fall, winter, spring and summer. That is, in layers.
So do wear your favorite spring t over a cozy turtleneck, layer chunky leggings under ripped jeans; double up on the cardigans, and pile on to your hearts desire. Make sure to keep the neck warm, cover your ears, work the gloves, put a little speed in those steps to get that blood flowing and you'll be good to go.
