So when I made my visit over to H&M's sister brand & Other Stories on opening day a few weeks ago, I naturally gravitated towards the white blob hanging out (literally) in the center section of the store. The white blob, also known as the scuba top, didn't convince me until I took it to the fitting room. These guys know a thing or two about fit. And because scuba is a tricky fabric on the body, the fit will either make it or break it. They made it.
Worn over a long length shirt, treat this off-white scuba top like an actual pullover as you would your sweatshirts and jumpers. It's foam rubber backing and polyester outer keeps you strangely warm. After all, scuba is what I like to call neoprene's cheaper cousin, and neoprene keeps divers warm in the near-freezing water.
To complete the pale story I hailed in the light almost white denim wash jeans with severe rips for a nice unconventional spin. I slipped into my nude sandals, grabbed the fun painterly clutch and figured I'd pale out for the day.
**Note: Fold over the hem on the scuba top for better proportion. Cuff the trouser hem three times for better proportion. #shortscape
